.about lofi-ghosts
hi i’m lo(ra) a neurodivergent designer and artist from los angeles who now lives in toronto! lofi-ghosts started as a zine but is now expanding into my creative online identity.
throughout most of my life, i was plagued by mental health issues, many stemming from childhood trauma and unresolved conflicts, i sought solace in my creative outlets. sometimes it was just through journaling and writing out my thoughts. sometimes art. sometimes video games and youtube. but a part of me always wanted to make something that i could share with others. something tangible. something relatable. and so, in the summer of 2025, i decided to make a zine. a culmination of my hobbies: photography, design, weird stuff, sort of fueled by nostalgia of the 90s and 2000s.
i wanted to create a world where i felt like i could truly belong. merging my love of journaling, art, nostalgia, and coping with mental health, i wanted to make this place feel coherent in some way. being adhd, it’s hard to really pinpoint what i want my art to be. but i think it perfectly describes who i am. chronically unserious but brutally unfiltered. a little silly and a little sad. and mostly, just a a place of comfort.
creating stationery is something i’ve dreamt about ever since i was a child. i have always loved stickers, sending letters, and decorating in my diaries. i design and create most of my stationery at home! in my tiny apartment no less. and it’s mostly a one-woman show over here. so please understand that i am not a big company and i do everything independently. things take time and there may be imperfections. but i hope you will love my creations despite the flaws.
i hope that the things i create can bring you joy, whimsy, or maybe even a little reprieve from whatever mentally ails you. if nothing else, i hope it can feel like a safe space, a place of comfort.
thank you for being here.
xo, Lo.
